In Twitter or On Twitter?

Reason #1

Twitter is all the rage at the current moment in time, but that could change in the future. Web 2.0 websites are only as good as the number of people that use them, so the best time to use Twitter is right now when it is hugely popular. If you were to wait and it became less popular in the future, you would get far less out of using Twitter than you can get right now.

Reason #2

Twitter allows you to update a group of people following your Twitter feed on events that happen in your life. If you ever had problems with the length of blog posts, you can fix that right now with Twitter. All you need to do is write one or two sentences per post. You give your followers just enough to keep them interested and you can do it multiple times a day to make sure their attention remains fixed on your Twitter feed.

Reason #3

Twitter is a lot easier to maintain than normal blogging. This is because a single post only takes a few moments for you to actually put out. You can do it in a few minutes before work, a few minutes after work or you can even do it on the commute to work if you take public transit and have a mobile device handy that has the Twitter mobile software installed on it.

Reason #4

There are many interesting people that have Twitter accounts. Many of the greatest writers, singers, artists, comedians and celebrities maintain Twitter accounts. If you use Twitter, you can follow the accounts of those people and see what they are up to each day. Many of them post diligently on Twitter and for that reason give you a lot of information that you can use in conversations with friends and family.
